Keyword Optimization is one of the pre-condition to Search Engine Optimization. Only then Search Engines can be utilized to their full potential. Every page of the site should have distinct list of keywords.

This distinct list of keywords should not compete with each other . Rather it should complement each other and cover different areas. It should be noted that it is better to have 10 good listings on different keywords than 10 good listings on the same one.
